Vicky goes boxing!
Vicky Skelton was especially invited to the Combe Martin Amateur Boxing Club (CMABC)on Monday 8th June to give a talk on roadwork training and gave a very constructed plan on the type of running training that would be suited for the boxer. The fascinating talk was gratefully received by all Club members and parents with her wealth of knowledge benefiting the boxers and coaches.
This was followed by a quick boxing coaching lesson by ABA Coach Tim Pike and then a sparring session with England`s Senior Novice Heavyweight finalist Valentin Bumbul who has gained a reputation for his devastating punching power. However he met his match, during the 1st round Valentin was put to rest on the canvas as Vicky's footwork and swift punching was to much.
The CMABC has joined North Devon supporters in wishing Vicky the best of luck in her preparations to represent England at 24hr running at the inaugural Championship in Keswick later this year.
